Please read the following information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
Information about reference-photos<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n
To create a painting, I need:<\/strong>
\n<\/span>One or several photos from your pet with the minimum size of 9 cm x 13 cm (4” x 5”). You may also send me your digital photos by email in a high resolution. The bigger, the better for painting tiny details.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The picture should show the animal in a typical manner, also make sure that details, especially the eyes, are clearly recognizable.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The picture should also be very clear and not cloudy or fuzzy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Please note:<\/strong>
\nIf the original photo you have chosen has not been created by yourself, I require written consent from the photographer that the photo may be used for a portrait painting.\u00a0<\/span>The customer is responsible for ensuring that he has the copyright for the reference-photos which he has commissioned to paint and no copyright or personal rights are violated. In case of copyright infringement the customer takes full responsibility for all legal and financial consequences and the artist Katja Sauer is free from all liability.<\/span>

Information about production times, delivery times and payment<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n
For my commissioned works I raise a prepayment of 50 %<\/strong> of the order value.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
This payment is due before starting work.<\/span>
\nThe balance, including the agreed shipping costs is to pay after the completion of the portrait.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
The production times will vary depending on order situation, size and type.
\n<\/span>
\nWhen I have finished the portrait, you will receive a scanned view of the drawing. Should there be any wishes for a little modification, please let me know.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Within 24 hours after I received the final payment including the agreed shipping cost\u00a0I will send you the portrait safely packed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
In case of non acceptance of the image I keep this and the advance payment as compensation for material and services rendered, and I make other use of the drawn portrait.
\n…but this has never happened before! ;-)<\/span><\/p>\n
If the drawing should be done \u200b\u200bfor a special occasion let me know your desired date. Please send me the photo reference(s)\u00a0<\/span>at least\u00a08 weeks prior to the deadline<\/strong>\u00a0for this.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Note<\/span>:<\/strong> The shipping in countries with customs clearance<\/strong> can take up to four weeks or longer!<\/p>\n
International Buyers \u2013 Please Note<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.<\/span>

The unlimited right of use and copyright of the drawings and paintings retains by Katja Sauer. No work and no image may be reproduced in any way (by photography or other process) or copied and distributed without the written permission of the artist.<\/span>
\nThe customer is responsible for ensuring that no copyright or personal rights are violated of his photos which he has commissioned to paint. Cancellation policy<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\n
Please note that the information below refers to provisions of German law. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not buy or commission a drawing!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
Please note<\/b><\/strong>:<\/strong>
\nThe following cancellation right does not apply to distance contracts for the supply of goods manufactured according to customer specifications.
\nThis applies to all original drawings and paintings which have been manufactured according to the customer’s special wishes or have undoubtedly been designed to his individual requirements.\u00a0That concerns all commissioned works.<\/p>\n
Cancellation and Returns Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n
You are entitled to withdraw from this contract within 14 (fourteen) days, without giving any reason.
\nIn the case of a purchase contract, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day \u201eon which you or a third party specified by you, who is not the forwarder, have or has taken possession of the goods.\u201c
\nIn order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you are obliged to inform us<\/span><\/p>\n

by means of an unequivocal declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post, a telefax or an email message) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this purpose, you are free to use the enclosed specimen notice of withdrawal, which is however not mandatory.
\nIn order to comply with the period available for revocation, it is sufficient that you send the notice of exercise of your right of withdrawal prior to the expiry of the withdrawal period.<\/p>\n
Effects of exercising the Right of Withdrawal<\/span><\/p>\n
When you withdraw from this contract, we are obliged to promptly refund to you any and all payments which we received from you, including costs of delivery (with the exception of additional costs resulting from the fact that you have chosen a mode of delivery other than the most favourable standard mode of delivery offered by us), and at the latest within fourteen days from that day on which we received your notice of withdrawal from this contract. For this refund, we will use the same means of payment which you have chosen for the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon with you; in no event will you be charged for any consideration as a result of this refund.
\nWe are entitled to refuse the refund until returned goods have been received by us or until you have submitted evidence that you returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.
\nYou are obliged to return or to hand over the goods to us promptly and in any case at the latest within fourteen days from that day on which you informed us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline has been complied with, when you dispatch the goods prior to the expiry of the withdrawal period of fourteen days.
\nYou are obliged to bear the direct costs of return of the goods.
\nYou are obliged to make compensation for any loss of value of the goods only, if such loss of value is due to the handling of the goods in a manner that is not required for the examination of the condition, properties and functionality of the goods.

The right does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods which are not prefabricated and for their manufacture an individual choice or decision by the consumer is important or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.
